The other day I wrapped up the first draft of the first of two acts of the yet-to-be-named full-length play that I'm writing. This is my first play that will be longer than ten minutes! It's been challenging, but very fun, too. It's a completely different process than how I approach a ten-minute show. Things have been carefully planned out, but even the best plans get changed...all the time. I'm steaming on to Act Two (of Two) very soon. This play is a being written as part of a collaboration project that I mentioned in a prior post.
I've already planted a few "Easter eggs" in the script, and there more to come. For example: There's a reference to a certain real-life friend of mine who was on a certain game show that rhymes with "Schmeopardy". Some of my poetry is likely to make an appearance, too.
Lots of good stuff happening. Stay tuned!
